Job Overview:
 
The Porter (Weekends Only) is responsible for ensuring that buildings, facilities, and restrooms are maintained in a clean and organized manner. Key tasks include cleaning floors, washing walls and windows, tidying showers and restrooms, and disposing of trash. Additionally, the role may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of needs for repairs and cleaning debris from common areas.

Compensation: $19 - $20 an hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hours: Part Time (7:30AM - 4:00PM) Saturday and Sunday.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Clean Main Lobby & Offices
  • Empty trash cans
  • Dust
  • Wipe down door handles and clean glass
  • Wipe down front desk shield
  • Clean Fitness Facility
  • Clean glass doors, wipe down all door handles and frames
  • Wipe down all equipment 2x per day
  • Studio equipment wiped down and placed in proper location as needed
  • Fitness studio exterior patios- pick up leaf debris, Wipe down furniture
  • Pick up trash on floors
  • Empty trash bins
  • Wipe down toilets, restock paper supplies and soap/shampoo in locker room/restroom
  • Dust all lighting fixtures
  • Mop restroom floors
  • Clean Clubhouse/Kitchen/Bar Area
  • Clean glass doors, wipe down all door handles and frames
  • Wipe down furniture, clean glass tables
  • Wipe down counters
  • Pick up trash on floors
  • Empty trash bins
  • Wipe down toilets, restock paper supplies and soap/shampoo in locker room/restroom
  • Dust all lighting fixtures
  • Mop restroom floors
  • Sweep floors
  • Dust window seals
  • Wipe down kitchen sink and counter tops
  • Dust artwork and décor
  • Ensure all furniture is properly arranged
  • Vacuum carpets
  • Clean Park Areas

  • Power wash any areas that require extra cleaning
  • Sweep/blow leaf debris off sidewalk
  • Remove any pet waste/clean off sidewalk
  • Wipe down main entry glass doors
  • Remove any leaf debris from entry fountains
  • Pick up any trash off sidewalk/ gutter/ landscape beds
  • And any other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
  • An ability to follow oral and written directions keep accurate records, fill out logs and journals, and perform administrative operational functions.
  • Must be proficient in English.
Education & Experience:
  • One year of experience of janitorial or custodial work. High School Diploma or GED.
