Job Description:
Provides administrative support to the Marketing and Corporate Communications or Community Relations Departments. Uses word processing, database and graphics software to create reports and marketing materials. Helps coordinate special projects, health fairs, community events and presentations supporting the hospital service lines and meeting strategic objectives. Serves on hospital committees. Facilitates the management of print and digital projects. Organizes, updates and controls filing systems.
The position is primarily located in the Public Relations office in Munster, Indiana and St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related communication field and minimum of one year of healthcare or marketing experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required, including online database management and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills are necessary and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
  • Must be able to create spreadsheets and analyze data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multitask environment.
  • Must be highly organized and detailed.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends to support special events and programming.
