Job Title: Unix Admin

Job Location : New York, NY, Cary, NC, Jacksonville, FL, London, UK

Duration : 6+ months

Unix Administrator:

• Proficient within a Linux (SLES, RHEL) environment.

• Have 10+ years of experience within system administration, along with knowledge of physical infrastructure and hardware such as HP ProLiant DL360/380/560/580 G7/8/9/10) and Synergy series, upgrades, patching and configuration Management, performance management, troubleshooting, analysis, and capacity planning.

• Skilled in TCP/IP Networking & advanced network tuning, network topology and Firewalled environment.

• Knowledgeable in the principles of routing, client/server programming, Ethernet, bonding, PCIe Technologies; experience with various protocols & services: NFS, NIS, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, IGMP, FTP, SFTP, TFTP, NTP, GPS, PTP, SSH.

• Aid in UNIX change requests for the Bank, perform advance systems tunings, such as CPU, real-time threads, TCP/IP, network NIC card, memory, etc. to application specific requirements, and work closely with UNIX engineering & third-party vendors.

• Maintain compliancy with DB standards by performing 3 rd party software upgrades, OS & Hardware upgrades, provide round the clock coverage, and respond to incident reports.

• Comply with operational handbook to minimize platform incidents, roll-out completed infrastructure.

• Experienced in Shell and Perl scripting for automation of Linux/Unix targets to reduce repetitive manual tasks.

• Have flexible working hours as network changes occur outside of market hours and weekends.
