Millwright Technician
Location: Ainsworth, NE (relocation assistance available)
Compensation: $26-$30/hr DOE
Full-Time | Permanent Position

Are you mechanically skilled, comfortable working at heights, and ready to put your construction or millwright experience to work in the agricultural industry? We are looking for a hardworking Millwright Technician to join a growing team installing and servicing grain storage and handling systems.

This is an opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and on-farm projects, including grain bins, dryers, conveyors, augers, catwalks, platforms, and related equipment. If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy hands-on work, and want a role where no two projects are exactly the same, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble, install, repair, and maintain grain bins and grain-handling equipment
  • Work on grain dryers, conveyors, augers, elevators, catwalks, platforms, and structural components
  • Read blueprints, layout drawings, equipment manuals, and job specifications
  • Perform mechanical assembly, bolting, alignment, adjustments, and troubleshooting
  • Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, telehandlers, skid steers, rigging equipment, and other jobsite tools
  • Assist with basic welding, cutting, fabrication, and field modifications as needed
  • Work safely at heights on ladders, platforms, and elevated structures
  • Travel up to 60% to project sites and support overtime during busy seasons

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in millwright work, grain-bin service, agricultural construction, structural steel, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation
  • Grain bin, grain dryer, conveyor, auger, elevator, or material-handling experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in the field
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed installation instructions
  • Welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, or structural steel experience is a plus
  • Valid CDL preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain
  • Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights and performing physically demanding work
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work safely around heavy equipment
  • Reliable transportation, strong attendance, and a team-first attitude
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% and work overtime when project needs require it

What We Offer

  • $26-$30/hr, depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent employment
  • Hands-on work with a respected team in the agricultural and grain-storage industry
  • Variety of commercial and on-farm projects
  • Opportunity to build specialized skills in grain storage, drying, and handling systems
  • Stable work with room for growth for dependable, skilled technicians
