Job description

The Division of Programs in Business (DPB) at the NYU School of Professional Studies is seeking an Administrative Aide II who will perform a wide range of clerical and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose communications on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions in Microsoft Office and Google Suites. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants. Additionally, this position involves coordination and planning of events and conferences.  Duties of this position also includes occasional travel, light lifting, and evening and weekend work. 

This position is currently located at our Midtown Center, 20 W. 43rd Street.


Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.
Preferred Experience:
2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $39.129. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
