Job description

Alarm Technician Trainee

DUTIES:

On-the-job training will be provided by SCFP with the expectation that the trainee will learn to:

- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems in residential and commercial properties.

- Use power tools and hand tools to build and assemble alarm components.

- Test and troubleshoot alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.

- Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding alarm system operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong technical skills with the ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Knowledge of fire and/or burglar alarm system installation and maintenance procedures is a plus.

- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Able to drive long distances and travel throughout the State of Florida on a regular basis.

- Able to walk or stand for long periods of time, climb ladders (including extension ladders), and lift up to 50 lbs.

- Must be able to work overtime as needed and demonstrate routine attendance with on-time arrival.
