GO RAMS! Head Track & Field Coach Opportunity Spring 2027
Roaring Fork High School is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and inspiring Head Track & Field Coach for the Spring 2027 season.
As the Head Coach, you will lead and inspire student-athletes by teaching the fundamental skills, team strategies, and physical training necessary to achieve both individual and team success. Beyond athletic development, our coaches are expected to foster character, sportsmanship, leadership, communication skills, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride in accomplishment.
Salary Range: $4,521.00 to $5,696.00, based on previous paid coaching experience in this sport.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Track & Field coaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching multiple event areas, including:
    • Sprints
    • Hurdles
    • High Jump
    • Long Jump
    • Distance events
  • Strong knowledge of Track & Field training principles and competition.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, instructional, and motivational skills.
  • Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the track.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the Track & Field program.
  • Develop and implement daily practice plans and seasonal training programs for student-athletes.
  • Schedule the team's competitive season and coordinate meet entries.
  • Register student-athletes for track meets and coordinate team travel.
  • Purchase and manage equipment, uniforms, and program supplies within the allocated budget.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture.
  • Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and personal growth among student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school staff, and the Athletic Department.
  • Ensure compliance with school, league, and CHSAA policies and procedures.
