Job description


We are looking for a reliable, organized, and quick-thinking Dispatcher to join our towing and roadside assistance team at our Hollywood, Florida office.
The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating towing and roadside assistance calls, communicating with customers and drivers, monitoring job status, and ensuring service requests are handled efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate can multitask in a fast-paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and communicate clearly with both customers and field drivers.
  1. Receive and coordinate incoming towing and roadside assistance service requests.
  2. Dispatch tow truck drivers and roadside technicians based on location, availability, vehicle type, and job requirements.
  3. Communicate with customers to confirm service details, location, vehicle information, and estimated arrival times.
  4. Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout active service calls.
  5. Monitor and update the status of dispatched jobs from assignment through completion.
  6. Prioritize emergency, time-sensitive, and high-priority service requests.
  7. Use GPS, dispatch software, maps, and other tools to identify driver locations and determine efficient assignments.
  8. Coordinate multiple calls and drivers simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  9. Handle customer inquiries, updates, delays, and service-related concerns professionally.
  10. Document all calls, dispatches, driver activity, customer information, and job details accurately.
  11. Verify pricing, service details, payment information, and authorization when required.
  12. Coordinate with insurance companies, motor clubs, dealerships, repair shops, law enforcement, and other third parties when necessary.
  13. Follow up with drivers regarding delayed, cancelled, or incomplete jobs.
  14. Escalate customer complaints, safety concerns, or operational issues to management when necessary.
  15. Ensure all dispatch and customer records are complete and accurate.
  16. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers, drivers, and business partners.
  17. Perform other dispatch and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Previous experience as a dispatcher, towing dispatcher, roadside assistance dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or similar role is preferred.
  2. Experience in the towing, roadside assistance, transportation, logistics, or automotive industry is a strong advantage.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  5. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  7. Comfortable communicating with customers who may be stressed or dealing with vehicle emergencies.
  8. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dispatch and GPS software quickly.
  9. Ability to accurately enter and maintain information in dispatch systems.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
  11. Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with drivers and management.
  12. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
  13. Previous experience with Towbook, Omadi, AUTURA, Samsara, GPS/dispatch platforms, or similar systems is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  1. Office-based position in Hollywood, Florida.
  2. Fast-paced dispatch and customer service environment.
  3. Requires frequent phone and computer communication.
  4. May involve handling multiple calls, drivers, and service requests at the same time.
  5. Must be comfortable working during busy periods, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or other scheduled shifts as required by the business.
