ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift schedule: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15). Must be available to float and cover weekend shifts every other week.

Job Description

The Telemetry Unit is a 41-bed inpatient unit focused on renal and limb preservation patients. The primary role of the Registered Nurse will include monitoring telemetry units, managing dysrhythmias, and providing care to patients requiring hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
  • Manage patients with renal conditions including ESRD and ARF.
  • Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, including hospitalists and nursing assistants.
  • Administer medications and perform routine procedures related to patient care.
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to established protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or critical care setting.
  • Active RN license in the state or compact state agreement.
  • Certification in BLS and NIHSS is required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR); experience with EPIC is preferred.
