Job Requirements
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong cardiac stepdown, telemetry, and acute care nursing experience
  • Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred/required
  • Ability to float within specialty and to like or lower acuity units as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with CHF, MI, post-cardiac cath, TAVR, CVA, COPD, diabetes, and respiratory failure
  • Monitor telemetry, identify rhythm changes, and support timely escalation of patient needs
  • Administer and manage cardiac-related therapies and complex medications per unit protocols
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, reassessments, and patient education throughout the shift
  • Care for patients requiring stepdown-level monitoring and intervention
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit standards and procedures
  • Support safe patient flow through admissions, transfers, and discharges
