Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac unit position requiring MD or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Details
  • Stepdown Cardiac/Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • 28-bed unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
  • Patient diagnoses include CHF, MI, pre/post cardiac cath, TAVR, CVA, COPD, DM, and respiratory failure
  • Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
  • EPIC EMR required
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 08:00-20:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required within specialty and to like or lower acuity units as needed
  • No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
Requirements
  • Active RN license (MD state or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown Cardiac/Telemetry experience required
Additional Information
  • Provide stepdown-level cardiac and telemetry nursing care to a diverse patient population
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
