Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be proficient in EPIC charting. You will play a critical role in patient monitoring, care management, and providing high-quality nursing support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
  • Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy.
  • Manage nasal cannula oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management.
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and safety protocols.
  • Participate in rapid response and code team activations as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
