Job description

Join us at Lincoln Tech! We're looking for skilled Diesel Technicians to become valued Instructors in our Diesel Technology program. No teaching experience is required. We specialize in helping technicians transition into engaging educators. Bring your passion for the industry and help shape the next generation of diesel professionals!
Key Requirements for Diesel Instructors
  • 3+ years of Diesel Technician experience
  • ASE certifications T-6, T-8 (required within first 3 months)
  • EPA 609 certification (required within first 3 months)
  • Current ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications T4, T6, and T8
  • Current ASE certifications in subject areas of instruction
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficient in technology
  • OEM or equivalent industry-related training
  • Teaching experience is a plus
  • Current ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Status preferred

Key Responsibilities for Diesel Instructors
  • Teach and provide hands-on training in Diesel Technology in our fully equipped facility
  • Facilitate and effectively deliver Lincoln Tech accredited course curriculum using our Blended Learning Model
  • Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability through advising and mentoring
  • Evaluate and communicate progress with students fairly and consistently
  • Teach students about the importance of safety and compliance
  • Maintain a professional, visitor-ready classroom environment
  • Complete Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT) program
  • Prepare students for a successful career in the field of Diesel Technology
