Cath Lab Technologist

We're offering a $15,000 Sign On bonus & Relocation assistance to Cath Lab Tech Professionals

Work Schedule: This is a full-time day shift position, Monday-Friday, 4 days/week 7am-5:30pm 4 -10 Hour Day Shifts. Little to No Weekend Call: -7-9 days of call every 4 weeks for Emergent Procedures after hours. Call response time to the facility is within 30 minutes of notification. Very little call on the weekend since they have a weekend tech that takes call. They however take 1 weekend a month off.

Lakeway is located about 25 miles west of downtown Austin. Lakeway is ideally situated on the south shore of Lake Travis in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Lakeway is a resort community complete with golf courses, tennis courts, marinas, a 65-mile long lake, 100 acres of parkland and trails, and nearly 500 acres of greenbelts. You can enjoy dining at the famous The Oasis on Lake Travis while enjoying the gorgeous views of the Rolling Hills and the abundance of sailboats floating on the Lake.

Baylor Scott & White Health Lakeway is a 121 bed, Full-Service hospital. The Medical Center is a certified primary stroke center, a certified chest pain center. Lakeway has achieved Magnet recognition for its nursing professionalism, teamwork and superiority in patient care.

Must live within 30 minutes of hospital

3 procedure suites. 2 GE fluoroscopy units (soon to be upgraded to Phillips), Siemens biplane system. 12 private room pre/post holding rooms.

Procedures: Cardiology- left heart catheterization, PFO closure, STEMI/MI, mechanical device insertions, lithotripsy, thrombectomy, renal stenting, peripheral vascular, PCI. Interventional radiology - kyphoplasty, port-a-cath placements, biopsies, cryoablations, uterine artery embolization, prostate embolization, GI bleed embolization, thrombectomy, percutaneous drain placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, fistulagrams. Electrophysiology - pacemaker, ablation, cryo-ablation, pulse field ablation. Population - varies (adult)

Job SummaryThe Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members. Helps in daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.

Qualifications

Education - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

Experience - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Certification/License/Registration - ACLS (ACLS): ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer. Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer. ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R), Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS), Cert EP Specialist (CEPS), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), Reg Cardio Electrophysiology (RCES), Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Sp (RCIS): Must meet one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Tech (ARRT-R) and MRT through TX Medical Board, or Cardio Invasive Spec (RCIS), or Reg Cardiac Electro Spec (RCES), or Cert Electro Spec (CEPS), or Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS).
