Go Fish Digital is looking for a bright, motivated individual to bolster our team of top-notch SEOs. As an SEO Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven SEO strategies that align with our clients' key performance indicators (KPIs). You will own the SEO strategy from inception to execution, continuously evaluating performance and making adjustments to maximize results. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, clearly communicating the impact of our efforts and ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
Additionally, you will proactively identify opportunities to integrate SEO with other marketing channels to enhance overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies that align with client goals, adjusting as needed to maximize results.
  • Execute tactical SEO work, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy.
  • Analyze performance data and create in-depth reports that effectively communicate results and insights.
  • Clearly explain SEO strategies and their impact to clients, ensuring they understand the rationale behind each approach.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-channel collaboration to enhance overall digital marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights to improve organic search performance.
  • Communicate gaps in SEO strategies and processes to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure Go Fish Digital remains at the forefront of SEO innovation.

Skills
  • A strong understanding of SEO principles and experience developing successful SEO strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple SEO campaigns while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex SEO concepts in a clear and compelling way.
  • Proficiency in Google Business Apps (especially Google Sheets) and industry-standard SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Moz, Ahrefs, SEMrush, STAT, etc.).
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience managing SEO campaigns, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Experience with client strategy development, communication, and proactive performance troubleshooting.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for staying ahead of SEO trends.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a digital marketing agency.
  • Familiarity with technical SEO, structured data, and advanced site architecture strategies.
  • Understanding of the interplay between SEO and other digital marketing channels such as paid media, social media, and content marketing.
