Clinical Informatics Director (MD/DO) - Remote
Job Summary
The Clinical Informatics Director (MD/DO) provides strategic leadership and clinical expertise to guide the design, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise clinical information systems. This role serves as a senior clinical informatics authority, ensuring alignment between clinical workflows, technology solutions, evidence-based practice, and organizational goals. The Director leads clinical decision support initiatives, drives process refinement, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care through informatics innovation. This position may oversee clinical informatics teams and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on clinical technology strategy.
  • MA/MS degree minimum with 10 years of experience in clinical informatics leadership roles.
  • MD or DO licensure with active, valid physician credentials.
  • Board certification in Clinical Informatics.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the development, implementation, and management of clinical information systems, including clinical decision support, documentation workflows, and process optimization.
  • Expertise spanning:
    • Clinical practice and clinical workflows
    • Organizational and operational management
    • Health information technology
    • Health informatics and data-driven decision support
    • Communication and change leadership in fast-evolving healthcare environments
  • Proven experience serving as a Clinical Informatics Director or Clinical Informatics Lead within a healthcare system (government or private industry).
