Behavioral Health RN

Location: Danville, PA 17822

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Shift: 2 8s and 2 12s (8s on the weekend) every other weekend every other holiday

Job Details:

  • 28 bed inpatient psychiatric unit – acute care crisis stabilization.
  • Caring for adult patients ages 18 years of age and older.
  • Care is provided to the following patients: with chronic mental illness, with a situational crisis that results in suicidal thoughts or actions, with a combination of mental illness and substance abuse issues.
  • Multidisciplinary approach with nursing staff, psychiatrists, psychiatry residents, advanced practitioners, caseworkers, therapists and OT staff.
  • Nursing staff ratio is 1:4 or 1:5.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who has strong psychiatric assessment skills and is able to remain calm and professional in all circumstances.
