Position Overview

Serene Support Partners is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Therapist. This full-time, remote position plays a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse clientele. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering personalized therapeutic interventions and fostering an environment of healing and resilience.

Work Environment

As a remote employee, you will work from the comfort of your location while being part of a dynamic team at our hospice center based in Richmond, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify mental health concerns and strengths, tailoring interventions to fit client needs.
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions, as well as family and group therapy, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that align with clients' goals and aspirations, ensuring regular updates based on their progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive care and enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment to ensure the safety and well-being of clients, developing safety plans tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and educational workshops, empowering clients through shared experiences and psychoeducation.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related issues. You will serve clients from different backgrounds, each with unique stories and treatment needs, allowing you to implement culturally competent care tailored to individual circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • At least two years of professional experience in a mental health or outpatient environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and treatment approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to establish rapport with a diverse client base.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in hospice or palliative care settings, enhancing your ability to address complex emotional and mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and how they can be applied to various client interactions.
