General Description

The X-Ray Technologist will be instrumental in generating high-quality diagnostic medical radiographs, contributing significantly to the accuracy of diagnoses and the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Document an appropriate patient history containing pertinent patient information regarding their condition and including patient limitations;
  • Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education;
  • Select and operate equipment; recognize essential condition for successful completion of procedure;
  • Perform Medical Assistant duties when required such as cast removal, stitches and staple removal, dressing changes and other patient needs;
  • Assisting physician in patient care as requested;
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of graduation from an accredited school in radiologic technology;
  • Unrestricted NYS Radiologic Technologist license in NYS;
  • ARRT Certification;
  • 1- 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • CPR/BLS preferred

  • Ability to travel to various OrthoNY locations if needed. Reliable transportation is essential.
