North Shepherd Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RT who enjoys working in a collaborative procedural environment and wants a predictable schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in supporting vascular access procedures by preparing patients and procedure rooms, operating fluoroscopy equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting physicians during interventional procedures. This position combines technical expertise with direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

What You'll DoProcedural Support
  • Prepare patients and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures
  • Operate the C-Arm during interventional procedures
  • Assist physicians during procedures by scrubbing in and maintaining sterile technique
  • Support a variety of vascular access interventions, including:
    • Angiograms
    • Angioplasty
    • Thrombectomy procedures
    • Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis catheter procedures
    • Vein mapping
    • Accessory vein ligation
Patient Care & Safety
  • Deliver exceptional patient service utilizing AIDET and customer service best practices
  • Maintain strict sterile field standards and advocate for patient safety
  • Perform instrument, needle, and sponge counts as required
  • Assist with patient transport and procedural scheduling as needed
  • Monitor radiation safety practices and serve as the center's Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
Operations & Inventory
  • Track procedural supplies and medication usage
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for medical supplies and equipment
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and procedure rooms between cases
  • Support the efficient daily operations of the surgery center
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Science or successful completion of an ARRT-approved educational program
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • State radiologic technologist license and/or fluoroscopy permit if required by state regulations
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in:
    • Diagnostic Radiology
    • Special Procedures
    • Cardiac Catheterization Lab
    • Comparable procedural environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
Preferred
  • ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology (CV-IR) certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Experience supporting vascular or interventional procedures
