Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support imaging and fluoroscopy procedures at a pediatric outpatient surgery center in Richmond, Texas.
The Radiologic Technologist will operate imaging equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, support surgical and procedural teams, and ensure compliance with radiation-safety requirements. This position also maintains required imaging documentation, equipment records, radiation logs, and quality-control testing.
This is a per diem position scheduled approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures as ordered by the physician.
Select appropriate exposure factors and position pediatric patients to consistently produce high-quality images.
Operate imaging and fluoroscopy equipment safely and proficiently.
Assist with preparing operating and procedure rooms for scheduled cases.
Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids based on scheduled procedures and physician preferences.
Practice appropriate radiation-safety procedures for patients, staff, and self.
Wear required radiation-monitoring devices and follow established radiation-protection standards.
Document radiation exposure and fluoroscopy duration accurately.
Complete required weekly equipment testing and document the results.
Inspect protective X-ray aprons and other shielding equipment for integrity.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate required maintenance or repairs.
Follow established equipment cleaning, storage, care, and calibration procedures.
Maintain all required radiology logs, equipment reports, quality-control records, and supporting documentation.
Follow infection-control, environmental-safety, bloodborne-pathogen, and airborne-pathogen standards.
Promptly report safety concerns, equipment issues, or policy violations to clinical leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license.
Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
Current BLS certification.
At least four years of ambulatory surgery center experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, image quality, and equipment care.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, families, physicians, and surgical team members.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of fluoroscopy experience.
Previous pediatric imaging or surgical-services experience.
Experience operating mobile C-arm equipment in an operating-room environment.
