ECC JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: McMinnville Worship Leader

Reports to: Campus Pastor

SCHEDULE

Monday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wednesday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thursday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friday | off

Saturday | off

Sunday | 6:30 am - 2:00 pm

*Other times required as necessary


JOB SUMMARY

The role is to invite people to engage in corporate worship and prayer through music and the arts, for the purpose of declaring the truth of Jesus Christ, seeking the presence of the Holy Spirit, and encouraging the body of Christ. A Worship Leader not only helps lead the church in worship but also helps develop and disciple other worship leaders and musicians. The Worship Leader should stay current and knowledgeable on Biblically based and spiritually modern worship songs. This individual must have a heart to lead and an understanding of song arrangements to teach others how to improve their musicianship skills. For an individual to be a good fit for this job, they must have a heart of worship and are passionate about declaring the truth of Jesus Christ and seeking the presence of the Holy Spirit through worship and prayer. Lastly, this individual must be comfortable and confident leading worship from keys or an acoustic guitar.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Attend one service each weekend
  • Tithe 10% of your income to support the Mission of The Experience
  • Attend all scheduled meetings
  • Work all events that are considered all-hands-on-deck (ex., Next Class, Worship Nights, etc.)
  • Model Christ in thought, word, deed, and in relationships with others (including spouse, if applicable)
  • Maintain a good reputation and do not be associated with slander, gossip, or negativity
  • Share concerns about The Experience with your Team Lead in a spirit of "constructive criticism."
  • Foster a good relationship with all leaders at The Experience
  • Be a team player and adapt to other personalities and styles.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the vision of ECC through:

  • Authentic Worship - Create an environment in which we lead people to worship God by overseeing the quality of music and production during weekend and midweek services.
  • Authentic Community - Cultivate a culture of community among the individuals that serve on the worship team.
  • Authentic Community Service - Create and maintain avenues that individuals from the church can serve using their gifts and talents.
  • Build, maintain, and lead worship teams for weekend services and other ministries as needed.
  • Help develop worship leaders at every instrument, from EON through Evident, to strengthen the team to promote longevity and depth.
  • Assist with lighting/stage design in-house. Implement new equipment and maintain worship spaces.
  • Assist in the planning, organizing and leading at worship nights.
  • Work alongside and assist the McMinnville team in areas of administration and ministry needs
  • Allocate, document, and turn in all receipts for ministry expenses.
  • Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
