📞 Call Requirements

Travelers participate in:

  • 1 week of weekday call every 2 months
    • 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM after the regular shift
  • 1 weekend of call every 2 months
    • 24-hour weekend coverage
  • 1–2 holidays on call per year
  • Call-ins are usually for pacemaker cases
  • Most call-ins last about 2 hours
  • Call volume is generally low

🚨 Ohio Fingerprinting – VERY IMPORTANT

This is a Tier 4 Ohio compliance position.

  • Fingerprints must be completed ASAP after signing the contract
  • Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday before the start date
  • No exceptions
  • Candidates living within driving distance of Ohio must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location
  • Candidates far from Ohio will receive a fingerprinting packet by mail
  • Delays or failure to cooperate with credentialing can result in start-date push or cancellation
🗓️ RTO
  • RTO must be provided at submission
  • Any requested time off must be built into the contract
  • Screen candidates for vacation immediately after booking because fingerprinting delays could push the start date.
⚠️ Employment Restrictions
  • Former employees can take a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6+ months
  • Current employees cannot be hired as travelers at Ohio State University hospital locations
  • Candidate should be submitted to only one location
