Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor

Join our team of highly skilled.ย We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicatedย Staff Nurse (RN)ย to make a difference in caring for patients in our community. Take pride in doing what you love as patients admit to our facility by monitoring, assisting, and encouraging their progress. We provide compassionate short- and long-term healthcare and specialized medical support.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Review, communicate and contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Personal Care Attendants (PCA)
  • Provide medications by mouth, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections as ordered
  • Complete wound care as ordered to improve skin integrity
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift for continuity of care
  • Communicate with family members of residents as needed in the event of receiving new orders, a change in condition or a simple check-in to ensure the resident is safe, well, and content
  • Participate and shine in center surveys (inspections)
  • Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the residentโ€™s discharge plans
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
  • Chart in electronic files using Point Click Care in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as residents' responses to care
  • Receive telephone orders from physicians on duty
  • Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary
  • Ensure that narcotics are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in associate performance evaluations and make recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor
  • Develop work assignments
  • Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure resident safety is a Top Priority
  • Meet with the nursing personnel on your shift a regularly to improve services
  • Administer professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, etc
  • Attend and participate in all center in-service programs as required
  • Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education programs, seminars, and training programs

Qualifications:

  • MUST hold a current and valid RN license
