Job description

Job Title: Sr. Middleware Administrator (IBM WebSphere | JBoss application servers)
Location: Irvine, CA (100% Onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere and JBoss application servers.
  • Support migration of Java applications between data centers and environments.
  • Manage application deployments, JVM settings, clusters, nodes, profiles, and data sources.
  • Troubleshoot application server, deployment, and performance issues.
  • Perform JVM tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
  • Conduct health checks, smoke testing, and post-migration validation.
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, database, and security teams.
  • Support production cutovers and migration activities as needed.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of Middleware Administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server.
  • Strong experience with JBoss Application Server.
  • Good understanding of Java applications and JVM tuning.
  • Experience with application migrations and middleware configuration management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise production environments.
