JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. These assemblies vary in size and product while requiring the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.
YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:
  • Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
  • Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns) with accuracy.
  • Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
  • Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
  • Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
  • Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
  • Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
