Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician sets up, operates, monitors, and controls production equipment, systems, and processes in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role supports safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations by executing the production schedule, maintaining clean and sanitized areas, accurately handling components and documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and control manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing, filling, and packaging rooms and equipment in accordance with SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
  • Execute the production schedule to achieve established production goals and timelines.
  • Handle labeling and components accurately, including transferring, counting, applying first-in-first-out (FIFO) practices, and managing returns.
  • Actively participate in and support event response activities, including deviations, investigations, or other unplanned events.
  • Review and author SOPs and other operational documents as required to support process consistency and compliance.
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues to ensure products meet all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Execute and/or assist with equipment maintenance activities, including restoration of lost function, predictive maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
  • Train fellow employees in areas of expertise and proactively learn systems and equipment outside of current expertise, as appropriate to skill level and experience.
  • Record and review production data in batch production records (BPR) and associated forms with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements while performing duties, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties and accountabilities as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a cleanroom or similarly controlled environment.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and standardized processes accurately and consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling components, documentation, and production data.
  • Ability to stay on task and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable punctuality and consistent presence on scheduled workdays.
  • Capability to clean and sanitize equipment and production areas according to defined procedures.
  • Ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Strong documentation skills, including accurate completion and review of batch production records and related forms.
  • Willingness and ability to train others and to learn new systems, equipment, and processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a GMP-regulated or cleanroom environment is preferred.
  • Biowork or similar foundational training in biomanufacturing or regulated manufacturing is acceptable.
  • Comfort working within structured procedures and quality systems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and support event response activities.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and production needs.
Work Environment

This role operates in a regulated manufacturing environment that may include cleanroom or controlled areas, where adherence to GMP and SOPs is critical. The position follows a 2-2-3 schedule on the B team, with working hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The work involves extended periods on the production floor, frequent interaction with manufacturing equipment, and routine cleaning and sanitization tasks. Team members follow defined safety and environmental requirements and use appropriate protective equipment as needed to support safe and compliant operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $21.74/hr.
