Job Title: Associate Manufacturing
Job Description
The Associate of Manufacturing will work in a dynamic production environment at a North Carolina drug substance plant, supporting development, clinical, and launch activities. Under general supervision, the employee will perform manufacturing operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on operations including set-up, cleaning, and sanitization of manufacturing equipment.
- Prepare buffers and media following defined manufacturing procedures and SOPs.
- Strictly adhere to safety and compliance standards by following GMP documents, SOPs, and MPs.
- Perform and monitor critical processes, including basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct in-process sampling and operate analytical equipment.
- Perform washroom activities, cleaning small and large-scale production equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Work in a clean room environment wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toe shoes, gowning, hairnet, and gloves.
- Initiate quality deviation reports as needed.
- Draft and revise documentation including SOPs and MPs.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.
- Assist in reviewing documentation for assigned functions such as equipment logs and batch records.
- Perform activities that may involve rigorous, repetitive work.
- Work around high-pressure systems and occasionally heavy equipment.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in bioworks, GMP, and manufacturing processes.
- Bioworks Certificate or Equivalent Degree.
- New graduate or experienced individuals are welcome.
- High school diploma/GED plus 2 years of work experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 months of work experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferable experience or education in Science or Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Preferred experience in Downstream Manufacturing or Drug Substance Manufacturing.
Work Environment
The work schedule follows a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotating shift based on the production schedule. The role requires teamwork to complete operational tasks and adherence to documented policies. Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs, pushing and pulling objects requiring up to 50 lbs of force, and standing for extended periods. Employees must perform physical movements necessary for daily functions on the production floor, including bending, reaching overhead, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, walking stairs, and standing on portable stairs or ladders up to 6 feet high. The work environment is a clean room setting, requiring appropriate PPE such as steel toe shoes, gowning, hairnet, and gloves.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
