Job description

Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Durham, NC

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 6 month contract + extension

SHIFT: Panama (2-2-3) 12-hour Shift (Night Shift); 6pm-6am


The Maintenance Tech is responsible for equipment maintenance strategy development, providing front-line support to production processes, as well as supporting area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation. This position will require the development of expertise in production processes, verification requirements, and equipment controls system technologies. The Maintenance Tech will ensure that equipment is maintained in a qualified state, can be operated safely, and that maintenance is properly performed on the systems.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in high speed automation equipment such as labelers, cartoners, FANUC machines
  • Experience with electromechanical devices such as VFD drives, servo motors, or solenoids
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work onsite for 12 hour shifts overnight
  • Ability to understand automation, controls and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with highly automated equipment (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
  • Previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (GMARS)
  • Previous experience directly supporting highly automated manufacturing.
