Manufacturing Maintenance 61 Barnes Industrial Park North, Wallingford, CT 06492 CT180 Manufacturing Facility Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Manufacturing Electrical Maintenance team member, you will be directly responsible for keeping Fastenal Manufacturing's equipment and facility in good running order. Manufacturing Maintenance team members are assigned regular preventative maintenance procedures, as well as troubleshooting, identifying machinery faults, and executing repair orders to maintain safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Performing preventive maintenance and repair of CNC equipment, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems o Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and wiring on equipment o Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and techniques to ensure safe and effective repairs o Performing forklift maintenance, manual machine repair, and preventative maintenance o Moving and positioning equipment o Welding and fabricating for repairs or building support equipment o Assisting in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Operations o Plumbing and/or Pump Overhaul o Performing general building maintenance and repair REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Possess a current full-valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed. o Possess or working towards an education in an industrial Maintenance Technical program OR have at least 2 years of related work experience. o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Proficient computer skills o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Willingness to work at heights exceeding 25 feet o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess 1-2 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience o Prior electrical experience in 3-Phase, single phase, and 24vdc o Prior experience in heat treating equipment and induction heating o Prior experience in hydraulics, welding, and metal fabrication o Prior programmable Logic Controller and Computer Numerical Control (Fanuc and Siemens controls) experience ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
