Job description

Multi-Store Assistant Manager

Salaried, Exempt ($50,000/yr)

Reports To: District Manager

Portfolio: 4 to 5 Stores

A leadership role at a company people actually love working for...

Great retail leadership is rare, and so is a company worth leading for. At fit-flavors, our culture is the real deal: a high-standards, genuinely supportive team that hires and fires by its core values, has fun together, and takes careof its people. We're looking for a leader who wants to protect that culture and build on it.

We're not just any meal prep company. We're the gold standard for healthy, convenient, crave-worthy food, preparing 4,000+ meals a day in our industrial kitchen and delivering them across St. Louis to our storefronts and directly to customers' homes. We're a fast-growing, faith-driven organization rooted in Christian values, and we lead with integrity, purpose, and service.

...THE ROLE...

You'll own the operations, team, and business performance of 4 to 5 fit-flavors locations under your District Manager. You lead from the floor on peak days and direct your team the rest of the time, with real autonomy to make the staffing, operational, and people decisions that keep your stores consistent and thriving. You're the bridge between daily store operations and district-level leadership.

...WHAT YOU'LL OWN...

Your team. Hire, train, coach, and develop every Hospitality Specialist in your portfolio. Run pre-shift meetings, regular 1:1s, quarterly performance reviews, and progressive discipline when needed. Spot and grow your future leaders.
โœ… Staffing and scheduling. Manage cross-store staffing and labor against budget, hire proactively to the Labor Plan, and partner with fellow managers to keep every location well covered.
โœ… Store performance. Monitor the metrics that matter (sell-through before expiration, Google Reviews, secret shopper scores, audits) and take action to hit targets. Diagnose systemic issues across stores and design the fix.
โœ… Operations and compliance. Own opening and closing, daily cash reconciliation, food safety, facilities and vendor issues, business licenses, and health inspection documentation across your stores.
โœ… Customer experience. Resolve escalations from any store with confidence, share the customer service ticket rotation, and deliver standout hospitality yourself whenever you're on the floor.
โœ… Growth moments. Plan and execute menu changeovers, promotional launches, and seasonal transitions, and show up for community events and marketing activations.
โœ… Consistency across the brand. Collaborate constantly with the other managers so every fit-flavors location feels like fit-flavors.

...WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE...

Your stores meet or exceed their targets. Your team is developed, engaged, and performing to standard. Coverage stays steady with minimal disruption, escalations get resolved quickly and professionally, admin is accurate and on time, and every store runs in full compliance with the fit-flavors Way.

...WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR...

โœ… 4+ Years in Luxury Retail/Fine Dining (OR) BS/BA in Nutrition, Dietetics, Business, or similar (OR) a Certified Personal Trainer credential
โœ… A genuine, demonstrated commitment to a healthy lifestyle (reflected in your habits, references, and social media)
โœ… Proven success managing, developing, and holding accountable multiple direct reports, ideally across locations
โœ… Strong analytical skills: you can read performance data and turn it into action
โœ… Comfort with customer service systems, e-commerce platforms, and cross-department tools
โœ… Excellent communication and the ability to lead through influence
โœ… Completion of the fit-flavors Hospitality Growth Track within 6 months of hire
โœ… A deep commitment to health, nutrition, and our mission

...EXPECTATIONS...

This is a hands-on role for a new or growing leader. You'll average 40+ hours a week (with cyclical busier stretches), visit 2 or more of your stores a day, and be present on the floor during peak hours. You'll join the Weekend Manager on Duty rotation, respond to store alarms and emergencies 24/7 for your locations, provide coverage anywhere in the network as needed, and model the fit-flavors Code of Conduct in every interaction. Stay clear, responsive, and positive on Slack and company channels, and treat feedback as fuel.

...PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS amp; SCHEDULE...

Full-time, 40+ hours a week on a flexible schedule that you choose that includes peak days, weekends, holidays, and 24/7 alarm response, with seasons of increased availability as we grow. You'll need to travel between your store locations (your mileage is reimbursed).
