Job Description

The Operations Supervisor supervises the daily activities of hourly and weekly workforce in the Georgia Sterilization facilities in addition to providing management level oversight to all Georgia campuses during weekends. This position requires the Operations Supervisor to work Saturdays and Sundays as well as three additional weekdays to support weekend management oversight. Ensures adherence to all Plant and Division SOPs, DOPs, QSR Guidelines, ISO standards and FDA requirements. Supports, develops and administers department budget(s). Provides a work environment that provides open communication and Bard values of quality, integrity and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee weekend operations across all Georgia campuses, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of business activities.

  • Manage staffing needs through interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, performance oversight, and workflow coordination.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, DOPs, FDA/QSR requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Drive continuous improvement and actively participate in Lean initiatives to improve operational efficiency and standardize processes.

  • Maintain proficiency in MRP systems and ensure accurate inventory transactions, material movements, and operational reporting.

  • Develop and submit departmental metrics and reports, including budget performance, WIP inventory, cost variances, and operational KPIs.

  • Manage materials and supplies required to support sterilization operations, including coordination with Purchasing.

  • Oversee receiving, trailer inspections, inventory control, product verification, shipping, dock-to-stock activities, returns processing, and release verification activities.

  • Ensure accurate processing of receivers and inventory transactions for IQC, GDC, Sterilization, and other supported divisions.

  • Provide leadership for weekend shipping, receiving, warehouse, and sterilization support functions while ensuring service levels are met.

  • Support business needs through flexible scheduling and perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Participate in the annual medical surveillance program for ethylene oxide exposure.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree level qualification; or equivalent

  • 5+ years of supervisor experience

  • Understand GMP

  • 1+ years of FDA experience
