Job description

The best brands become part of people's every day.โ€ฏThey show up in the quiet moments, the celebrations, the traditions, and the memories customers return to again and again. At LAKE, social is where many of those moments are shared, and we're looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to help tell that story.

This role will shape how LAKE comes to life across social platforms, translating brand strategy into content that feels thoughtful, inspiring, and distinctly LAKE. From seasonal storytelling and product launches to creator partnerships and community engagement, you will ensure every interaction reflects our point of view and strengthens affinity for the brand.

You will partner closely with leaders across the Commercial division: Creative, eCommerce, Marketing, Retail, and Client Services to bring our brand to life in ways that are visually compelling, culturally relevant, and aligned to business objectives. You will balance long-term brand building with day-to-day execution, connecting strategy, storytelling, and performance to grow our audience and deepen engagement.

This is a role for a strategist and storyteller who understands both the art and science of social, can translate strategy into meaningful customer connection, and has the judgment to know what deserves a place in the conversation. You'll bring a strong creative point of view, an instinct for culture, and a passion for building community, helping more customers discover, experience, and connect with LAKE every day.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A strategist and storyteller who understands how social media builds lasting customer connection and brand affinity.
  • Equal parts creative and analytical, able to balance compelling storytelling with data-driven decision making.
  • A strong brand steward with exceptional taste, editorial judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Naturally curious about culture, consumer behavior, emerging platforms, and evolving social trends.
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys partnering across departments to bring ideas to life.
  • Energized by both the big picture and the details, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution.
  • Passionate about building community and creating meaningful moments that strengthen customer relationships.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that supports LAKE's business objectives, seasonal priorities, and long-term brand vision.
  • Own and manage the social content calendar, ensuring a thoughtful balance of storytelling, product education, community engagement, and retail support.
  • Partner with Commercial, Creative, eCommerce, Retail, and Customer Experience teams to bring campaigns, launches, and key brand moments to life across social channels.
  • Lead the development of platform-native content that is engaging, visually compelling, and distinctly LAKE.
  • Identify, cultivate, and activate creator partnerships that expand awareness, strengthen relevance, and deepen customer connection.
  • Champion a consistent brand experience across all social platforms through strong storytelling, creative direction, and messaging.
  • Develop strategies that grow audience, engagement, and community participation while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Identify emerging platforms, trends, and cultural opportunities that keep LAKE relevant and differentiated.
  • Oversee community management, ensuring thoughtful and timely engagement across social channels.
  • Measure performance, derive actionable insights, and continuously optimize content, creative, and channel strategies to drive business impact,

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 8+ years of social media experience, ideally within a lifestyle, fashion, luxury, or premium consumer brand.
  • Proven success developing social strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, audience growth, and business results.
  • Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, with a strong understanding of platform trends and best practices.
  • Strong creative and editorial judgment, with the ability to shape compelling, brand-right content and storytelling.
  • Experience leading creator and influencer partnerships from identification and relationship management through activation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations and action.
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building and growing community for a premium brand with a strong point of view and highly engaged customer base.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with strong project management skills and a bias toward ownership.
