Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Respond to guest queries and requests.
  • Follow 15/5 rule, make eye contact and smile at 15 feet, greet guest within 5 feet, to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Must wear approved uniform at all times while working, including nametag.
  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for receiving and issuing clean linens. Fill written orders as requested by various departments. Requires extending arms overhead, bending, grasping and lifting bulky linens weighing up to 50 lbs. from shelves to carts.
  • Responsible for communicating with housekeepers in a courteous manner to ensure smooth process.
  • Responsible for making sure dryers are properly cleaned from debris and dust, to maintain safety.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous supply. Control room and table linens and organize by size, color and department.
  • Responsible for discarding torn, worn and faded linens following established procedures.
  • Responsible for operating washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines
  • Use proper chemical handling procedures, referencing the MSDS book if necessary.
  • Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
  • Responsible for monitoring feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
  • Responsible for cleaning up machines and surrounding areas.
  • Execute any other tasks or duties deemed necessary by hotel management for the successful operation of the property.

Job Requirements:

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
  • Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary, up to 50 lbs.
