ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Each morning will check schedule and confer with Supervisor to review duties.
  2. Cleans out all laundry machines and removes lint from dryers to begin operations.
  3. Washes, dries, stacks linen throughout shift.
  4. Will report any machine malfunctions or laundry problems to Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager immediately.
  5. Remove soiled linen from the Health Center regularly as needed. (at least 8 times daily ).
  6. Will ensure that the Laundry/Linen section is kept neat and clean every day. Floor must be swept daily and mopped weekly.
  7. Responsible for the use of chemicals in both the cleaning of the laundry and the maintenance of all equipment.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Will issue appropriate sheets to residential housekeepers.
  2. Will ensure that the correct supply of cleaned linen/laundry is stocked on both floors of the Health Center.
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.
  4. Will ensure that the proper number of clean tablecloths and napkins are washed and ironed and are available in the Dining Room of the Administration Building.
  5. Responsible for being familiar with the following Springmoor policy and procedure, task lists, and guidelines.
  6. Delivers clean towels to both Hairstyling Shops & pick-up of dirty linen.
  7. Responsible for delivery of clean linen to South village before 11:30 a.m. each weekday.
  8. Responsible for reading, understanding, and following the Springmoor Inclement Weather and Fire/Safety Plans.
  9. Responsible for understanding the Hazard Communication Program.

Holiday Pay
  • Full-Time Employees:
    Employees who work on a recognized holiday are paid at 2.5 times their regular rate.
    Employees who do not work on a recognized holiday receive 8 hours of holiday pay, in accordance with company policy.
  • Part-Time Employees:
    Employees who work on a recognized holiday are paid at 1.5 times their regular rate.

At least one (1) year's experience in a laundry room setting desired.
