About Us
Yuzu Japanese Sushi Bar is a fast-paced, quality-driven restaurant committed to serving fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine while providing exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and team-oriented Sushi Chef who takes pride in preparing high-quality sushi and maintaining the highest food safety standards.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, specialty rolls, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared consistently with excellent presentation.
  • Maintain freshness and quality of all seafood and ingredients.
  • Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety procedures.
  • Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
  • Assist with daily prep work and inventory as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health department regulations.
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook preferred.
  • Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and seafood handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
