Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES:


Our Duty Operators play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering outstanding service. Their responsibilities include:


  • Deliver superior customer service to both employees and clients.
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically via phone and email.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries.
  • Coordinate and schedule security personnel as needed.
  • Oversee coverage and deployment of ad-hoc guards.

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent.
  • MUST have intermediary to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • MUST have 5 years of Canadian residency for security clearance.
  • Work experience in scheduling, customer service, or dispatching fields.
  • The ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts throughout the week if required, including weekdays and weekends.


WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

  • Job Type: Part-Time
  • Location: Oakville, ON
  • Hourly Rate of Pay:$22.00
  • Hours of work: 1200 - 0000, Saturday and Sunday (weekends). This position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts throughout the week if required. The weekday shift hours are as follows: Monday to Friday - 8-hour shifts (0800 - 1600, 1600 - 0000, and 0000 - 0800).
