Job description

Health Informatics & Technology Expert

The Opportunity:
You'll apply deep expertise in health informatics, clinical informatics, and digital health transformation to advance healthcare delivery, health professions education, public health, and military medical readiness. As a Health Informatics & Technology Expert, you will leverage experience implementing, optimizing, and governing electronic health record (EHR) and clinical information systems across enterprisescale military healthcare environments.

You will support military healthcare clients in transforming digital health solutions, modernizing workflows, integrating clinical and operational data, and improving patient safety and provider experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor in evaluating complex systems, policies, and processes - guiding stakeholders through clinical workflow redesign, interoperability requirements, and informatics-driven decisionmaking. Your insights will shape the strategy and execution of missioncritical healthcare programs.

You Have:

  • Experience directing enterprise-wide EHR implementations, improving data accuracy and workflow efficiency across large patient populations
  • Experience leading health informatics initiatives that integrate clinical and operational data to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Experience managing clinical information systems for large user populations ranging from 500-1,000+, including training, user adoption, issue resolution, and optimization
  • Knowledge of interoperability, clinical decision support, data quality, data governance, HIPAA compliance, and federal cybersecurity standards
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams of clinicians, IT specialists, and administrators in designing and deploying digital health solutions
  • Ability to evaluate, test, and validate clinical software systems, including the development of clinical test scenarios for operational assessments
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience optimizing Emergency Medicine documentation systems to improve throughput, documentation accuracy, and patient flow
  • Experience executing enterprise-level digital innovations, including medical device connectivity and integrated communication platforms
  • Knowledge of EHR/EMR modernization, interoperability standards, clinical workflow redesign, and change management
  • Ability to drive adoption of new health IT tools, achieving measurable improvements in provider satisfaction and workflow efficiency
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Nursing Informatics
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Certification
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
