Planted Earth Landscaping, Inc. is a unique Residential Landscape Contracting and Maintenance company who works with the regions most talented Landscape Architects installing and maintaining some of the premier landscapes in Maryland, Virginia, & Washington D.C. Planted Earth Landscaping has a vision of "Doing things better". We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a role as a Turf Care/IPM Technician. Applicants should be passionate about plants and the outdoors, are always seeking knowledge, and conducts them self in a professional manner. We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining a company with which they can grow.

Job Status: Full-time or Seasonal Full-time, Non-Exempt Role:

The Landscape Management Turf Care Technician is responsible for performing daily activities in the field of landscape maintenance as directed by the Turf Care Manager. The Technician is responsible for completing activities of high quality to enhance the functional and/or aesthetic value of the landscape in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

· Work as a team member under the direction of the Turf Care Manager

· Show up to work on time in the correct uniform

· Perform duties with a high level of craftsmanship in an efficient manner

· Manage all Turf and IPM applications

· Manage record keeping for each client, chemical, and applicator as required by each state

· Manage all education requirements for self and staff as required by each state

· On-site point of contact for Owner, Account Manager, Subcontractors, and Vendors

· Training and development of subordinates on best practices and company standards

· Ensure preventive and post maintenance of tools and equipment

· Accurately track and record job expenses and hours

Requirements:

· Minimum: Previous landscape experience and/or willingness to learn and perform tasks of the landscape trade in a fast-paced environment

· Highly motivated individual, detail oriented

· Verbal communication skills in the English language

· Be available for seasonal long hours and weekends as necessary

· Punctual and dependable

· Attention to detail

· Polite and courteous

· Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and backgrounds

· Able to work outside in a rigorous environment, lift 50lbs on a regular basis, perform repeated bending and lifting activities throughout the workday

· Preferred:

o High school diploma and/or 2+ years of field experience

o Driver’s license, with a clean driving record

o Knowledge of plant materials and horticultural practices

o Spanish language communication fluency
