Overview

The Grounds Crew team members play a vital role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and playability of the venue's grounds and athletic fields. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily maintenance of landscaped areas and supporting all aspects of field preparation before, during, and after events. Responsibilities include maintaining turf and flower beds, operating and performing basic maintenance on landscaping equipment, painting and marking athletic fields, setting up game-day field equipment, and assisting with weather protection measures. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment while helping ensure the venue is presented at the highest standard for athletes, guests, and special events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.94

This position will remain open until October 30, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in mowing, trimming, and weeding 80 acres of property.
  • Maintain all mulch and flower beds.
  • Perform basic maintenance on landscaping equipment.
  • Mixing of paint and operation of painters.
  • Painting of a regulation NCAA football field (including gridiron, numbers, hashes, and logos).
  • Setting and moving of string lines and stencils.
  • Assisting in the deployment of rain covers when needed.
  • Putting out pylons, sideline covers, goalpost pads, and field goal nets.
  • Replacing of divots before and after pregame warm-ups.
  • Raising and lowering of field goal nets during games.
  • Removal of pylons, sideline covers, goalpost pads, and field goal nets.
  • Fixing of any major divots.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as grounds crew preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work safely and complete tasks in a timely manner.
