The hiring range is $68,623 - $76,248 / annually.

In this dynamic role, you will take the lead in establishing, managing, and promoting City-wide events and public recreation outreach initiatives. Ideal candidates will have proven experience organizing special events for municipalities and a deep understanding of logistics, community engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. Your exceptional organizational abilities, interpersonal skills, and multitasking will be essential as you coordinate all aspects of our events. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, event planning or related field and five years' experience in event planning and oversight. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Current CPR and First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
Requires a valid driver's license and ability to operate various automobiles, including 15-passenger vans. CDL is not required for this position.

  • Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program: To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
  • Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
  • Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
