JOB SUMMARY:
Come be a part of the Utah Mammoth Game Presentation team as the beloved Utah Mammoth Mascot Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to enrich lives and bring happiness to all Mammoth fans. The Mascot Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Tusky mascot program, during performances at Utah Mammoth games, team events, and outside appearances.
This position will report directly to Tusky.
The Mascot Coordinator must be organized, detail oriented, comfortable speaking and interacting with all fans, as well as possess the ability to solve problems within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Mascot Coordinator represents the Utah Mammoth and the Utah Mammoth Tusky brand, and must represent oneself in a professional manner as they interact with Mammoth fans in the arena and community.
This is a full-time, salaried position. In addition to standard office hours, this person will work a combination of all Utah Mammoth home games, rehearsals, and outside appearances, which often occur on nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • During Utah Mammoth home games, assist Tusky with all required in-game entertainment elements.
  • Serve as the liaison between the community and Tusky at home games and appearances.
  • Interact with fans, including answering questions, taking pictures and videos, while protecting the Tusky and Mammoth brands.
  • Assist with creation and preparation of wardrobe, props, and equipment used by Tusky and the game presentation department.
  • Coordinate and schedule internal and external Tusky appearances.
  • Track all event related costs and fees.
  • Accompany Tusky to all appearances and events.
  • Manage upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the Tusky van.
  • Assist with the ideation, organization, and facilitation of skits and stunts to be performed by Tusky.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Observe the crowd and the environment for any safety issues and respond appropriately as needed.
  • Assist with social media ideation, capture, and editing of content used on Tusky's social media channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Performs well under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license to drive a light commercial vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Desire to work in the area of professional sports.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Proficient with basic construction tools and repairs.
  • Basic video and music editing skills.
  • Previous sports industry preferred.
  • Previous mascot experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to carry up to 40 lbs.
