Division 8 Foreman

Location: Raleigh, NC

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking an experienced Division 8 Foreman to lead and support commercial installation projects involving doors, frames, and hardware. The ideal candidate will bring strong field leadership experience, technical installation expertise, and the ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Experience with Division 10 products including toilet partitions, toilet accessories, and fire extinguisher cabinets (FECs) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware according to project specifications and management direction

  • Install Division 10 products including toilet partitions, toilet accessories, and FECs as required

  • Lead and mentor installation crews while working hands-on in the field

  • Coordinate daily job site activities and adjust work assignments based on project priorities and timelines

  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and work orders for field teams

  • Track labor hours, materials, and project progress accurately

  • Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations

  • Inspect work performed by installers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements

  • Assist team members in troubleshooting and resolving installation challenges on-site

  • Perform layout work and finish installation using appropriate tools and measuring instruments

  • Maintain organized and clean job sites, including proper disposal of materials and debris

  • Complete all required project documentation and reports accurately and timely

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, inspectors, and other trades as necessary

  • Attend safety meetings, training programs, and continuing education sessions

  • Support multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining productivity and quality standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Division 8 installation and field leadership

  • Hands-on experience with commercial doors, frames, and hardware installation required

  • Division 10 installation experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, specifications, and shop drawings

  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures

  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, levels, measuring tapes, and layout equipment

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in fast-paced field environments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and crews effectively

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Must own basic tools required for the trade

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
