Job description

Customer Service Representative — Flex Shift
Location: Calgary, AB — Quarry Park
Schedule: Full-time, flex shift based on peak demand (Evenings and weekends required as needed)
8AM to 11PM MST and the same for the weekend
It will be 4 x 10s shift or 5 x 8s shift (shift time/schedule will be subject to change on a weekly basis).
Work Model: On-site / Hybrid
Reports to: Manager, Project Strategy & Enablement
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support their Gas Meter Exchange program. This role focuses on handling inbound and outbound calls related to reschedules, relights, and after-hours customer communication, ensuring continuity of service and adherence to client SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls during evening and weekend coverage windows
  • Make outbound calls for:
    • Appointment confirmations and reschedules
    • Relight coordination and follow-up
  • Support relight dispatch by:
    • Following defined escalation and coverage procedures
    • Identifying the appropriate technician or next step
  • Monitor and return voicemail callbacks promptly
  • Accurately document call outcomes and updates in internal systems
  • Provide clear handoffs to the daytime team
Qualifications
  • Availability and flexibility to work shifts between the hours of 08:000AM to 11:00PM (MST)
  • Strong phone presence and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in time-sensitive situations
  • Comfort following structured processes and escalation paths
  • Prior call centre, dispatch, or customer operations experience preferred
  • Utility or emergency-response experience is an asset

  • Calls and relights are handled within SLA targets
  • Minimal missed or delayed callbacks during after-hours coverage
  • Accurate documentation and clean handoffs
  • Reduced escalation volume related to coverage gaps
Compensation
  • Hourly wage: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
