Engelberth Construction is seeking Commercial Construction Superintendents to manage commercial construction projects throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. 
The Commercial Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial building projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations from project start through completion
  • Champion of our safety and diversity cultures
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient workflow
  • Enforce job site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control and adherence to plans and specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain project alignment
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress updates, manpower logs, and site conditions
  • Identify and proactively address potential delays, conflicts, or cost overruns
  • Oversee material deliveries and ensure proper usage and storage on-site
  • Lead job site meetings, including subcontractor coordination and safety briefing

Skills/Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of proven track record of managing large scale commercial construction projects, with at least 5 years of field experience
  • Experience in project costs and finances
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specs
  • Solid Understanding of the construction process
  • Knowledge of construction materials and systems
  • Effective staffing and productivity management
  • Solid understanding of technology, to include computers, mobile devices, construction software
  • 30 Hour OSHA Certified
  • First Aid/CPR Certified
  • Valid drivers license

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually
This position is eligible for additional compensation through Engelberth Construction’s bonus programs and comprehensive benefits package.  In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, Engelberth Construction does not discriminate in compensation based on protected characteristics and is committed to fair and equitable pay practices.
