Our Commercial Construction Internship internship provides a hands-on learning experience, allowing the intern to gain practical knowledge and skills that are essential for a career in commercial construction and project management.

What to expect

  • Administrative Support
    • Documentation: Assist with maintaining project documentation, such as contracts, permits, and safety records.
    • Communication: Help with communication between the subcontractor and other parties, including general contractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Project Support
    • Scheduling: Assist with creating and maintaining project schedules.
    • Material Management: Help in ordering, tracking, and inventorying materials.
    • Quality Control: Participate in quality control checks to ensure that the drywall installation meets specifications and standards.
  • Fieldwork
    • Site Visits: Regularly visit construction sites to observe progress and understand the practical aspects of drywall installation.
    • Assisting Technicians: Support experienced drywall installers with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and installing drywall.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the job site, including participating in safety meetings and inspections.
  • Learning and Development
    • Training: Participate in training sessions to learn about drywall installation techniques, construction safety, project management, and other relevant topics.

  • Technical Tasks

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university in a bachelors degree program in Construction Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Ability to prioritize work to maximize efficiency.
  • Experience using PROCORE and or Bluebeam is a plus.
