We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our growing team in Columbia, South Carolina. This individual will play a critical role in leading field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

Project & Field Leadership

  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through project completion
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and productivity
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term work plans to ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence while promoting accountability and teamwork

Safety & Quality Oversight

  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety meetings
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
  • Identify and address quality concerns before they impact project performance or client satisfaction

Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on schedule, progress, and field conditions
  • Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and shop drawings to support successful project execution
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, reports, and daily logs

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations, quality control, and jobsite management
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
