Job description

Overview
The Multimedia Specialist produces timely news and multimedia content for Corpus Christi across television, digital media, and marketing platforms. Responsibilities include developing video scripts, graphics, and programs; filming and photographing events; and coordinating the set up and broadcast of internal and external public meetings, news conferences, and other productions. The position provides technical support for citywide broadcast activities and may require attendance at events during evenings and weekends, as needed.
Responsibilities
• Write, shoot, edit, and produce video and photographic content for television, social media, websites, marketing campaigns, presentations, and other communications
• Develop multimedia programming concepts and content, including news, tutorials, promotional materials, training videos, public information, special events, and multi-camera productions, in coordination with City departments
• Set up, operate, direct, and broadcast public meetings, news conferences, special events, and remote productions using cameras, audio equipment, encoders, and related broadcast technology
• Upload, schedule, and maintain content for public access television channels and internal messaging systems
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio systems, encoders, animation systems, monitors, and other production technology
• Provide technical audio and visual support for City departments, meetings, presentations, and events, including evening and weekend activities as needed
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
• Non-Exempt - TEMP - Full-Time - 40-hour work week
• Must be available to work additional hours as needed
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement
• In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
• Two (2) years of experience

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hiring.
