Work Schedule:

Citizens Bank hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Positions may require the ability to work weekend hours.


Nature and scope of position

Under the direction and supervision of the Branch Supervisor, the individual is expected to understand the bankโ€™s policies and procedures and possess in-depth knowledge of the companyโ€™s products and services so that customers can be assisted in accordance with the bankโ€™s high customer service standards.

To perform a teller position daily you must have knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Machine skills include computer, calculator, coin sorter and roller, copier, check encoder and currency counter.

Duties may vary between individuals holding this position, depending on what location they may be assigned. The teller position generally encompasses the following duties:

  • Receive and process deposits and withdrawals for customers, including savings, checking, loan payments, IRA deposits, etc.
  • Cashing of checks
  • Maintain and comply with maximum cash-on-hand requirements assigned for teller station.
  • Process night deposits, incoming customer shipments and change orders.
  • Assist customers with wire transfers and cash advances on various credit cards.
  • Preform vault teller functions as needed, including verification, buying, and selling of cash for all teller stations, turning off and re-setting alarms, daily opening and closing of the vaults.
  • Daily maintenance of automatic teller machines, including the processing of deposits, addition of money and weekly balancing, where and when required.
  • Reporting of large cash transactions โ€“ CTR, Monetary Instrument forms or both if needed.
  • Sale and operation of cashierโ€™s checks and money orders.
  • Assist customers in the completion/preparation of deposit slips, withdrawals, etc.
  • Daily balancing and resolution of overages and shortages.
  • Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
