BIM Specialist
About the Role
Enterprise Electrical is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM Specialist to support commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, and high-rise construction projects. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) that support design, coordination, prefabrication, and field execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, field operations, and trade partners to ensure models are accurate, constructable, and aligned with company standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage BIM models using Autodesk Revit
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
  • Model electrical systems including conduit, cable tray, lighting, and equipment
  • Support prefabrication and field layout activities
  • Generate layout files and construction drawings
  • Maintain model data, version control, and as-built documentation
  • Lead BIM coordination meetings and communicate constructable solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and trade partners
  • Support BIM workflow improvements, standards, and training initiatives
  • Ensure all models and deliverables meet quality and project standards
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of BIM/Revit experience or 10+ years in the electrical construction industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Level of Detail (LOD) standards
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and model management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite and Bluebeam
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting healthcare, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
  • Experience with reality capture, 3D scanning, and digital layout tools
  • Autodesk Certified Professional or BIM-related certifications
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Technical training in construction, electrical, or related field preferred
Leadership & Team Support
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BIM team members
  • Assist with onboarding and training on BIM tools and standards
  • Review work for quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Support coordination efforts across multiple project teams and disciplines
Work Environment
  • Combination of office and active construction site work
  • Exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions
  • Must follow all jobsite safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
  • Occasional regional travel required based on project needs
