Job Summary
We're looking for a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in the manufacturing of aerospace parts. This role follows engineering specifications, standard work, and customer requirements to help ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time production.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
  • Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
  • Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
  • Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
  • Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
  • Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
  • Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
  • Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
  • Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
  • 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
  • Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Good hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed assembly work.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and occasional fumes or airborne particles.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands for detailed assembly and inspection work.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Close vision, depth perception, and color recognition required for defect identification.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, hand protection, and safety-toed shoes.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
